Why Consistency Really Matters

In Its most obvious form, consistency makes a lot of sense from the standpoint of getting where you want to go. Any goal usually takes time, and in order to get to that goal you generally need to work a systematic process, habitually, over time in order to get from A to B. Usually within health and fitness, that “work” is actual work, adding in effort, or subtracting pleasures in order to get to where you want to go which requires mental effort to avoid.

What most people don’t see, is that getting from A to B is anything but linear. Almost all of our goals require us to level upward, not laterally, in order to see true progression. This leveling up requires the one thing consistency truly gives us, which is Belief. Belief is by far the most necessary ingredient in order to see a goal through to its entirety.

Imagine for a second you wanted to lose 30 pounds 6 months ago, and now you have. Your’e 30 pounds lighter now. The way you eat is now different than 6 months ago, and will remain that way forever. The things you eat, even your thought pattern around eating, is different. It’s changed the way you live, how active you are, and how active you will need to consistently be. It changes the way you think about yourself, and even the way you interact with yourself.

This is why belief is such an important ingredient. Consistency builds Belief which stirs confidence consistently, and both of these are what allow you to continue along that journey when life hits you, when things aren’t going well, or when you start to feel a natural bit of doubt come in.

Remain consistent, reap the benefits of confidence and belief by habitually putting yourself in the correct mindset all of the time in order to hit your goals, and let nothing stop you!
